I've always had a passion for classical music. As a mezzo-soprano with a very wide vocal range, I'm drawn especially to opera and sacred repertoire — music that asks something of you and gives something back to the listener. My earliest big stage was the Washington National Opera's 2019 production of The Magic Flute, where I sang Spirit 2. Since then I've been lucky to perform with Opera Notre Dame (Witch in Dido and Aeneas, understudy for the Old Woman in Candide), the Opera Theatre of the Rockies Vocal Arts Festival, and on the Kennedy Center's Millennium Stage with the AAMS Emerging Young Artists Intensive. I sing because beauty matters — and because I believe the right piece of music at the right moment can remind a person of who they are.

I write my own compositions when inspiration strikes, and I sketch — I've created artwork for the Notre Dame Chorale's social media. I cantor regularly across campus in whatever vocal range is needed (the wide range comes in handy). And outside of music, I love cooking adventurous food and hunting down good coffee — each has grown into a quiet passion of its own.

I'm a Vocal Performance and Physics major at Notre Dame, with a minor in Italian and membership in the Glynn Family Honors Program. The music and physics combination surprises people, but for me it's natural — both ask you to listen carefully, work patiently, and trust that structure underneath the surface. The music and physics combination surprises people, but for me it's natural — both ask you to listen carefully, work patiently, and trust that structure underneath the surface. I'm part of a physics research team at Notre Dame, and this summer I'll be doing music research through the Honors Program and taking French at Notre Dame. I love languages: I've studied Spanish, Latin, and Italian, plus French and German diction for singers. (The photo above was taken on campus.)
